My parents were on vacation, and my mother asked my wife and me to surprise my father by moving their bedroom. Their room was in the front of the house by the road, but the back bedroom got better ocean breeze at night. We painted the room and moved the bedroom furniture. For supper that evening she prepared fried oysters with a lot of side dishes I enjoyed, but I had never tried oysters of any kind before, so I dug in, expecting to enjoy them as I did everything else.
