People are so ‘busy’ with their own lives, that family is forgotten. Gone are the days of gathering around the table playing cards, board games, or just talking. So sad Very true. When I was little we all got together at Grandma’s. Wish we could do that now, but everyone lives so far apart now and nobody has time now, when my mom and dad were alive my family was so close brothers sisters nephew nieces all relatives were in out visiting we were very happy now well some just don,t care what happened today is different Bit hard to get the family over for family dinner with limits on the number of people allowed in one gathering. I would love family dinners on a Sunday with the children and grandchildren. Unfortunately my daughter has 5 children so counting her that’s 6 no room for her brother and I. miss family dinner with my daughter and grandchildren every Sunday after church dinner at my house the grandchildren all grown up don’t seems to have time for grandparents Sunday dinner. You try to start that back up again This has happened to our family too it is such an awesome childhood memory. We adopted three and they are missing out on this great thing called family and love.We since have “added” family but since Covid have not had any dinners. Good luck bring the family back togetger AMEN! Absolutely! Back in the day, we always ate at the table as a family & Sunday was the family special day. That all changed when my father passed & the family became splintered Our two girls, grandson, husband and I have been able to have family dinners. We sit 6 feet apart, outside at the picnic table and eat the foods we love. No hugging and kissing, but lots of smiles. Most Sundays find us there.
